Paint protection film, or PPF, is a tough, clear urethane film applied over your paint. It takes the day-to-day damage that would otherwise chip and scratch the paintwork: stone chips on the bonnet, scuffs on the bumper, scratches by the door handles and on the sills. Better films are self-healing, so light scratches and swirls in the film disappear with heat from the sun or warm water.
Unlike a coloured wrap, PPF is clear and is about protection rather than looks. It keeps the original paint underneath in showroom condition, which matters most on new cars, leased cars and anything you want to keep pristine for resale. When the film is removed later, the paint beneath has been shielded from chips and UV the whole time.
You can protect the whole car or just the high-impact areas. A front-end package, typically the bonnet, front bumper, wings and mirrors, covers the panels that take the most stone chips for far less than a full-car film. We will talk through what suits how you use the car and your budget.
Fitting PPF well is skilled work. The paint has to be washed, decontaminated and corrected first, because the film is clear and locks in whatever is underneath, then the film is cut and laid so the edges are tucked and barely visible. We do that prep as part of the job rather than filming over swirls and marks.
Because we do paint, bodywork, detailing and protection under one roof at 59 Garman Rd, we can put right any existing chips or scratches before the film goes on, so the car is protected in proper condition. We are open every day from 08:00 to 22:00, which makes it easy to book around work.
We fit paint protection film for drivers across North London, including Seven Sisters, Stoke Newington, Wood Green and Walthamstow. Call 07349 766832 or message on WhatsApp to talk through a package and get a quote.

Good to know
What is paint protection film?+
PPF is a clear, tough urethane film applied over your paint to take stone chips, scratches and scuffs instead of the paintwork. Better films are self-healing, so light scratches in the film vanish with heat. It is about protecting the paint, not changing the colour.
What is the difference between PPF and ceramic coating?+
They protect against different things. PPF is a physical film that stops stone chips and scratches reaching the paint. Ceramic coating is a thin liquid layer that adds gloss, beads water and makes the car easier to clean but does not stop chips. Many people use both: film on the high-impact panels and a coating over the rest.
Do I need to film the whole car?+
No. Many people just protect the high-impact areas with a front-end package: bonnet, front bumper, wings and mirrors, plus door edges and handle cups. That covers where most stone chips and scuffs land for far less than a full-car film. We will recommend what suits how you use the car.
Will the film damage my paint when it is removed?+
No. PPF applied to sound paint is designed to be removable, and because it shields the paint from chips and UV while it is on, the paint underneath is usually in better condition than unprotected panels. Removal is best done by someone who knows the film, using gentle heat.
Pair film with ceramic coating for gloss and easy cleaning, or see car wrapping for a colour change. We also do paint, bodywork and full mechanical work in Tottenham Hale.
